The lake is part of everyday life

More sand.
More summer.

Kings Beach State Recreation Area is a public lakeside gathering place in the heart of town, near shops, dining and the North Tahoe Event Center.

Plan a picnic, enjoy the playground or spend time beside the water. Paddle and water-sport outings add another way to experience the shoreline; check operators, conditions and current park rules before you go.

Public parking is paid and can fill during busy periods. Beach proximity varies by home—compare the actual walking route, road crossings and winter access rather than relying on a neighborhood label.
